Madam Adjowa Bawa, the mother of Adjowa Adjeiwaa, a 13-year-old girl, is pleading with the public to help her daughter recover consciousness after being defiled and raped.
This comes after her father raped her for many years.
The Ofaakor Circuit Court in Kasoa, Awutu Senya East Municipality, has remanded the 53-year-old man in police custody for allegedly defiling and raping his 13-year-old biological daughter.
After the victim complained to her mother about pains in her abdomen as a result of the repeated act, the perpetrator Kwabena Nkrumah was arrested.
The mother, Adjowa, described the incident to the press, saying that this is the third time the husband has committed such an act and that she is appealing for justice.
According to the victim's mother, the suspect raped his stepdaughter and then raped his niece, who was living with them, in an out-of-court settlement.
The victim is said to be traumatized, with psychological effects.
On the 29th of March, 2021, the suspect was remanded in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on the 12th of April, 2021.
Adjowa claims she is unable to carry out the court's final judgment due to financial constraints. In light of this, she is concerned that if the perpetrator (Kwabena Nkrumah) is let off the hook, he will cause more harm to the victims, and she is appealing to the public for help for the victim and for justice to be served.
