EOCO is now headed by COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.

COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has been named Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office. She formerly served as Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) (EOCO).

On January 5, 2022, her appointment took effect. COP Addo-Danquah succeeds Steve Raymond Dapaa-Addo as EOCO's Director-General on July 9, 2021.

She was most recently the Director-General of the Bureau of Police Professional and Standards.

COP Addo-Danquah joined the Ghana Police Service in 1990 and is famous for being the country's first female Commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCCSC) in Winneba.

Additionally, she has worked as an administrator at the Police Hospital and as chief of the CID's Commercial Crime Unit.

COP Addo-Danquah garnered widespread attention with the abduction of three Takoradi girls who were ultimately discovered dead.

She attracted widespread criticism for her handling of the matter and was repeatedly chastised for allegedly botching the probe.
