The Public Accounts Committee has officially written to Honorable Hawa Koomson over a missing 17,397 dollars from her Ministry. They reminded her to urgently make payment before its too late. This was followed after a verbal demand was made by Dr James Klutse Avedzi who is the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.
According to the Public Accounts Committee, the almost eighteen thousand dollars was blown on foreign travels by workers from the Ministry of Fisheries And Acqua Culture Development.
They were however quick to add that, nobody is against foreign travels in the name of the state. However, they can't trace the documents surrounding those trips Hence, it can't be accounted for and must be paid with immediate effect by the Minister Honorable Hawa Koomson.
TheHonorable Minister Hawa Koomson on her part has promised her readiness to account for the missing amount of money. She gave the assurance of contacting her staff and investigate about the missing money.
