V/R: Work in steady progress as nurses resume duty after burial service of colleague.

Nurses at the Ziope Health Centre in the Agotime-Ziope district of the volta region have resumed work after the burial and funeral service of a colleague that passed on on the 24th of November, 2020 whiles on duty.

Though the nurses are in still in shock by the mysterious death, work is in a steady progress.

The nurses have a difficulty in accepting the situation because the late Mr Theophilus Ayikpa was at the facility in the morning of the 24th of November, 2020 to take over the office of the disease control officer of the facility who was due for his annual leave and left the facility at around 11:00am that day. He then returned to the facility at about 6:30 PM to take over from the afternoon staff.

According to the afternoon staff, Mr Theophilus' appearance at the facility did not show he was sick or in any critical condition that could end on such a sad note. "We handed over to him and left the facility only to be called in the night to be informed that he has died after a short illness" they said"

They believe that he has paid his due and is currently resting at the bosom of the Almighty God and they will forever accord him the respect of living such a selfless life even at the expense of his life.

But we also want to appeal to the authorities to come to our aid by giving us enough staff to strengthen our staff strength to enable us stay way from work when are unwell to prevent future occurrences.
