Instant justice is peddling on a fast spree as many complain of trust issues with law enforcement agencies with regards to how criminals are handled. Many citizens defend their act as a result of how dissatisfied they are with the mild punishments the police force usually mets out to criminals.
Instant justice was consequently recorded at Agogo in the Asante Akim North District of the Ashanti Region as Six men took the law into their own hands by inserting a stick into the anus of a teenage boy.
The victim whom sources refer to as Enoch is alleged to have stolen from an agro-chemical shop owned by one the suspects in the Agogo Market.
Konongo Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Shaibu Abubakar Sadique-Osei, who described the treatment meted out to the sixteen year old as barbaric assured the masses and family of the victim to be calm as he deployed forces to bring to book more suspects.
Upon admitting of their guilt to the inhumane act of pushing a stick into the anus of the young boy, the Agogo Magistrate court ordered that all six men be kept in police custody for six weeks until 27th July, 2021 (said date for hearing).
The victim, currently residing at the Agogo Presby Hospital is in good health, however he complains of unusual movements in his body as a result of the inhumane incident.
Doctors attending to him have been successful in removing the stick shoved down his anus and are currently attending to sores which accompanied the act.
