Nana Aba Descends On NIA Over Biometric SIM Registration

Early this year the National Identification Authority introduced a policy where all citizens are to link their Ghana card to SIM cards since then there have been always queue at all the service provider’s office especially MTN.


Fast forward, they have given a stipulated time for the exercise to take place but due to the number of people in the country they keep postponing the ending date but recently the date was finalized on 31st of this month which to the NIA it won’t be postpone again.


Many attention has been drawn to this  since a lot of people are now rushing to the offices to link their Ghana card to their SIM causing congestion at the offices of this services provider’s.


A lot of  people are not happy with this, certain celebrities like Camidoh, Medikal and others have raised their voice against this current issue to be re-considered.


Nana Aba Anamoah, who is a Ghanaian award-winning media personality, news anchor, and broadcaster. She hosted the top shows on TV3 including the Diva Show.


Nana Aba was the information presenter until her suspension and resignation. She is currently the host of the State of Affairs on GHOne TV. She is also a member of the Women's Premier League committee in Ghana also added her voice to the situation.


You can’t guarantee access to everyone but you’re making it mandatory for everyone to register their SIM cards with the Ghana Card, NIA has monstrous challenges but remains loudly mute over this. Make this make sense” the media personality said 


According to the presenter, it’s not right for the NIA to make the whole country go through biometric SIM registration if they can’t guarantee access to all.

And whole lot of people are supporting her of her comment over the issue.
