The Criminal Court 2 Division of the High Court has given Rosemond Alade Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo, bail prior to the submission of her lawyer's appeal against her 90-day prison term. On Monday, April 19, 2021, her counsel Andrews Kudzo Vortia simultaneously lodged a notice of appeal and an application for bail against the actress's prison term.

She was found guilty of obscene content dissemination and domestic violence. Rosemond Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo, was convicted of sharing a nude picture of herself and her seven-year-old son on his birthday, June 30, 2020. Bright Appiah, the Director of Child Rights International Ghana, was the complainant in the case.

An Accra circuit court handed down her sentence today, Friday, April 16, 2021.Rosemund confessed to sharing the naked photo of her son following her indictment in 2020, according to the prosecutor, but said she did so unwittingly.
