Shatta Wale: How different is his fake shooting incident from Josephine's fake silicon pregnancy?

Social media was set ablaze as there was a news circulating that Ghana's renowned dance hall act, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has been shot by unknown gunmen. Many Ghanaians were shocked upon hearing that sad news because it was once prophesied by a prophet who cautioned him and pleaded all Ghanaians to pray for the musical act. The news was spreading everywhere in the country because of how popular he is. One close person to Shatta Wale by name Nana Dope released that statement.

Shatta Wale has finally come out to clear the air about the shooting incident. According to him, it was fake and a prank which was aimed at drawing the country's attention on a threat to his life. The dance hall artist may have a good point but the way and manner he went about it was totally wrong. As he claimed his life is in danger, there are so many ways of dealing with criminal issues. He should have reported himself to the criminal investigation department of the police service.

Going straight forward to social to cause fear and panic is totally unacceptable. Not long ago, a lady in Takoradi was arrested and arraigned before the court of law for faking pregnancy and Kidnapping. Her case is still at the court for proceedings. What Shatta Wale has done is not different from Josephine's case and the IGP must call him and interrogate him as it was done to Josephine. This will as a matter of fact serve as a deterrent to others who may one way or the other repeat the same thing. Some section of Ghanaians are saying Shatta Wale was doing that as a publicity stunt to promote his new album. Even if that is the case, it was not suppose to be associated or link to a shooting incident which is a threat to security.
