The NDC parliamentary candidate for Awutu Senya East constituency, Madam Phyllis Koryoo Okunor has escaped an attack by assasins which could have resulted in her being injured or losing her life.

She narrated that she was returning home with two of his campaign team members on motorbikes driving in front of her as convoy, while she was driving alone. She said she then spotted a car through her side mirrors, driving towards her at a top speed. She then veered off the lane on which she was driving. The car then drove into the campaign team members on motorbikes in front of her and injuring them.
The two injured persons have been sent to the hospital and the case has thence been reported to the Police. At an emergency press conference, Madam Okunor expressed her concern on the issue and alleged that the suspected assassins are people from the opposition. The NPP Parliamentary Candidate of the constituency, quickly reacted to the issue, denying claims by Madam Okunor against her party.
