The recent arrest of Nigerians across the country has undoubtedly sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms as two female Nigerian fraudsters and 24 others have been finally brought to justice by the Kasoa police department.
Not long ago, a dawn operation witnessed over 100 Nigerians including some prostitutes being arrested at the Gomoa stretch which undoubtedly came as a surprise to most Ghanaians considering how individuals never expected to witness the “hardworking” Nigerians involve themselves in such unlawful activities.
With respect to this, another serious operation that took place today, November 11, 2021, witnessed 26 Nigerians including two females were arrested at Iron city, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu-Senya East municipality.
According to the Kasoa police command, there are lots of foreigners especially Nigerians who have made the greater Accra region a target to scam their victims and so therefore, residents in the region should be extra vigilant not to fall victim to such a crime.
The police later revealed that, 3 houses which was rented by foreigners especially Nigerians and had been under surveillance for several weeks at Iron City, suburb of Kasoa was later raided by the police as the 26 suspects including the two females who were believed to be fraudsters were arrested upon capture.
After further investigations and interrogations, some of the items that were retrieved from the primed suspects were 31 laptops, 5 machetes, 26 mobile phones and some substances suspected to be narcotic were retrieved from their rooms.
Considering the recent criminal activities ongoing at Kasoa, we can clearly notice that the city is gradually gaining notoriety due some unlawful activities of foreigners especially Nigerians as all landlords and citizens are advised not to hesitate in reporting suspicious tenants and neighbors within the vicinity.
Even though most Ghanaians have boldly urged the police service to immediately jail all the 26 Nigerian suspects including the two females for their unlawful acts since they don’t expect to scam innocent people and ran away whilst others claimed otherwise.
Do you think the arrested suspects including the two females should be jailed immediately for scamming victims for their money even though most individuals claim otherwise?
