The natives of Gumani and it's environs in the northern region are battling with a notorious criminal who comes to introduce himself as an electrician from NEDCO/VRA and get opportunity to enter rooms and steal.
This notorious criminal, Adam Baba popularly known as Nyagsim is a native of Gumani have used this tactics to steal a lot of people's properties including televisions, motorbikes and money in the northern region.
The lady who reported this criminal to the police said that he engaged him on WhatsApp after someone from Yendi introduced him to her as an electrician. They became friends and the man demanded he used her motorbike for some electrical installation in Datoyili, also a surburb in Tamale. The lady agreed and the man took the motor and that ended it.
He started blackmailing the lady demanding all sums of money before he will return the motorbike. After paying him Ghc700, he blocked the lady and disappeared with the motorbike.
Residents of Gumani have started serious manhunt for Adam Baba and plead with the general public to help trace his whereabouts.
