A four-year-old kid suffocated in a dam in Yizesi in the Mamprugu Moaduri Locale of the North East District. The dam is accepted to be essential for the public authority's 'one town one dam' drive.
The occurrence occurred on Friday, June 10, 2022, at around 1 PM when the kid and his partners had gone to the dam side to swim.
An observer uncovered that the kids generally go there to swim in spite of the advance notice from guardians not to go there.
As per the inhabitants, this is whenever the dam first began gathering water after it was dug during the dry season.
In the interim, the fatherly uncle of the departed, James Adams has revealed that the head of the local area, Naa Balingu Abubakari has been cautioning guardians not to permit the youngsters go close to the dam.
"The occurrence occurred on Friday. The kids have been exhorted by their folks not to be going there after it was declared by the local area boss, yet sadly, the youngsters went there to swim and wound up suffocating. This is the principal the dam has guaranteed a day to day existence," James Adams said.
As per the fatherly uncle, the four-year-old kid was covered yesterday in accordance with Islamic customs.
