2 residents of Ejisu discharged after shootings

Two residents of Ejura, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, who were shot by Police and Millitary Officers at Ejura in a protest have been discharged from the hospital.


The youth were returning from the funeral of the late Ibrahim Mohammed, popularly known as Kaaka and were protesting over the murder of Ibrahim Mohammed but they were confronted by Police and Millitary Officers. The security officers in response to the pelting of stones and clubs, started firing shots at the mob. This led to the death of two people who died at the Ejura Government Hospital after they sustained gun wounds in the chest.


Four other people sustained injuries after the security officers fired at them at Ejisu.
