The presumed twins' corpses were discovered in a paper box along the Abora Dunkwa-Adumfa stretch on the Cape Coast-Assin Fosu highway.
Some commuters using the road discovered the twins via a lonely path opposite the Islamic SHS.
The babies' lifeless bodies were wrapped in white fabric and placed inside a paper box.
According to the information acquired, the pedestrian was startled by the blood-stained cot sheet and blew an alarm, drawing the attention of further witnesses.
The bodies have since been taken over by the Abura Dunkwa police, who were called to the location to conduct additional investigation.
Nobody of note has been identified.
However, the police told the locals that they are confident that the offender will be found at the conclusion of the inquiry and brought before the law.
Illegal abortion has been rampant in some few days in the country.
Do you know illegal abortion has complications on our health?
According to the first-ever model of unplanned pregnancy rates and abortion rates for 150 nations, Ghana had 266,000 abortions between 2015 and 2019.
The World Health Organization and the UN's Human Reproduction Program reported that between 1990-1994 and 2015-2019, the unwanted pregnancy rate in Ghana fell by 14% while the abortion rate rose by 35%, with the percentage of unexpected pregnancies ending in abortion increasing from 23% to 36%.
It stated that from 2015 to 2019, there were 1.33 million pregnancies in Ghana, of which 741,000 were unplanned and 266,000 resulted in abortions, which are only permitted to protect the health of the pregnant person.
The question is what will motivate a lady to abort her pregnancy? Is it hardship or lack of responsible man?
