The people in the Sankore community are mourning the tragic death of an Okada rider who was killed by unknown men on Friday, 21st May, 2021. This is a heartbreaking news to the deceased family and the members of the Okada riders association in the town and its environs.
The murdered okada rider is popularly known as Abuu. He is young boy within the ages of 16-18 years old. The story unfolds that, some men hired him around 9:00pm on Friday, 21st, May, 2021 to one of the surburbs of the town.
But these assailants took him to a surrounding bush and tired him up with a yellow rope. They thereafter killed him by removing some parts of his body including the tongues. After the operation, they sealed his mouth with a sellotape and went away leaving a scissor on the ground.
After mutilating his body and removed the needed parts, they left him in the bush and went away without being noticed in the dark.
The news started circulating in the town on the Saturday morning when the dead body was found in the surrounding bush.
The Sankore police have gone for the body to preserve it at the mortuary for postmortem. The search for the killers is still ungoing in the town.
This is a difficult moment for the family of the deceased. May the good Lord strengthens them.
