There are some Ghanaians who believe that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration have neglected the people in the northern region in terms of roads construction. They have stated that there are a lot of deplorable roads in the northern region. But the President is seriously working on many roads in the northern region just that some media houses refuse to publish them on their platforms for Ghanaians to know.
The pictures in this article show overlay covering up to 40km of the deteriorated chipping-based tarred roads being fixed in Tamale, Northern Region. These asphalts road overlay is ongoing in both the Sagnarigu Municipal and Tamale Metropolis.
Areas covered so far include; Choggu - Gurugu, Choggu round about - Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Education Ridge area roads (Tamale SHS roads, Tamale Technical University, Bagabaga College of Education. Tamale College of education).
Other places include Nyohani area roads, Nyohani - Shishegu, Warders Canteen - Sanghani, Russian Bungalows - TTH, Police Headquarters - RCC, West Hospital - Zogbeli, Sports Stadium - Nyohini Round About and several others.
Meanwhile, works are expected to continue at Aliu Mahama stadium roundabout to Abedi Pele roundabout, Sakasaka area roads, Dagomba Road, Industrial area road, and among others. The people in these vicinities have started showing their appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for fixing their roads.
