One person has been confirmed dead and another seriously injured after a fatal accident on the Agogo Hwediem high street on Monday evening.
The accident occurred after a collision between a private car a tricycle popularly known as (Prigya) or Mahama Kamboo.
According to some eye witnesses, the head on collision happened due to overtaken.
The tricycle with registration number M-12-AW-5443 was heading towards the Agogo township with the other car moving on the direction.
The deceased was taken to the Morgue while the injured was referred to Hospital for treatment.
It took the intervention of people within the area to rescue the accident victims as they was no vehicle to convey them to the Hospital immediately.
Personnel of the Motor Traffic and Transport Division (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service later arrived at the scene to help control the traffic on the road.
The Agogo - Hwediem high street is one of the busiest roads in the area.
