The rate of death that has been registered in the first five months of 2021 is truly shocking and heartbreaking. There have been more than 20 accounts of people, mostly women, being murdered by their loved ones so far this year. Some people have killed themselves for no apparent cause. Why are there so many murders? Are we going back to the year 2001, when women were brutally murdered? No way! That is something we do not want to happen.
A final year student was hanged, according to reports that appeared online and in news portals in the early hours of yesterday. The family came forward to announce that their beloved daughter did not commit suicide, but was murdered by someone who then hanged her after committing the heinous act.
Also this year, a child went missing, but when she was discovered, her head and some parts of her body had been severed. There's a rumor that she was murdered for money rituals. Some Ghanaians have prayed to God to save Isabella Osei Yeboah, who has been missing for three days, after hearing and reading all of this news. We hope and pray that we will be able to locate her in good health. May God protect her wherever she is and bring her back to her family and love ones.
