A 58-years-old woman named Maame Akosua Serwaa is a mother of two from Manso. The woman shares that one of her daughters known as Afia Achia got married years ago and she travelled with her husband to South Africa country. Maame Serwaa said her daughter conceived and gave birth to their child a year later. The woman said daughter used to share her marital problems with her whenever she had a chat with her.
One day Achia revealed to her that her husband used to accuse her of cheating, and always beats her without offending him. Maame Serwaa said she even advised her to get divorced and come back to Ghana but she never listened to her.
Achia convinced her that she is making preparations to travel to another country to move on with her life. According to the woman, one day her daughter didn't go to work, her colleagues went to her house to find out what has happened but to their surprise they found her dead with their child sitting beside her in their room in South Africa.
The colleagues then informed part of their family members in South about what happened to her daughter. The following day she received information too from her son-in-law's family members who confirm about Achia death.
She became very sad and even pleaded with the family to bring her daughter's body to Ghana, they didn't listen any of her pleads but buried her in South Africa. Aside from that the only child her daughter left with the father too was still in South Africa.
Maame Serwaa added that her son-in-law assured her that he will allow her meet her granddaughter when they come back to Ghana. The son-in-law came back to Ghana as he promised and he also came to visit her with the child. She made it known to him she won't allow her granddaughter to go back with him to South Africa.
Maame Serwaa concluded that her granddaughter is now staying with her but the man has made preparations to send her back to South Africa, she too doesn't support his decision so she wants help so that the young girl can stay with her in Ghana.
