In 1893, a gentleman dumped his fiancee leading to her being depressed and eventual suicide.
The lady's family blamed Ziegland for her death with her brother taking up arms against Ziegland in order to avenge his sister's death and defend the family's honour.
He shot Ziegland and thinking he had killed him, shot himself, however, the bullet only grazed Ziegland's face and hit a nearby tree.
20 years later, Ziegland decided to cut the tree which still had the bullet embedded in it. Ziegland wishing to facilitate the cutting down of the tree used a dynamite.
The ensuing explosion caused the tree to fall but another amazing incident happened. The bullet in the tree got discharged and hit Ziegland in the head leading to his death.
