According to a news report made by UTV, 18-year-old Sadiq Abu Bakr is a student of St. Paul Technical Senior High School at Akyem Abuakwa North. He is a resident of Akyem Kokurantumi in the Eastern Region.
When a friend came to see him, he escorted him back to Akyem Offin on his motorbike after the visit. He traveled the Akyem Old Tafo route on his way home. A taxi driver carrying a passenger opened the door of his cab on the way. This opening door pointed in the same direction as Sadiq's path. This made him fall from his motor bicycle
Unfortunately for him, a school bus belonging to Kibi Secondary Technical School ran over him, causing distortion to specific parts of his body and his death.
His body is currently being held in the Hawa Memorial Hospital. In addition, the bus and taxi drivers are currently being interrogated by the police.
The parents are aware of their child's death and, according to their religious beliefs, are making multiple attempts to bury their child's body.
