An investigative journalist and editor for the fourth Estate media, Manasseh Azure Awuni has commented on the arrest of man of God Issac Owusu Bempah and other three people yesterday by Ghana Police Service.
Manasseh Azure Awuni has praised the security service for doing and a Great job by arresting the "untouchable" man of God in the country although people know his closeness to political power.
He told IGP and his boys that "that is proactive policing"and it good. He stated that this will be a great sign of progress when people cannot threaten people's lives in the country or act with impunity because of closeness to political power.
He also commends the security agency for their marvelous work after arresting a taxi driver who confessed that he involved himself in killing someone on live television.
"I've read a statement from the Ghana Police Service that one of the untouchable men in our republic, Isaac Owusu Bempah, is in police custody with three of his accomplices. Other accomplices, the police statement said, are on the run. The statement said they'd be put before court today.
It will be a great sign of progress when we get to a point where lawless people cannot threaten the lives of others or act with impunity because of their closeness to political power.
The IGP and the Ghana Police Service must be commended for acting on the viral video involving Owusu Bempah and his associates. I'd read an earlier statement that said a taxi driver who had confessed on television to taking part in murders has been picked up following the interview.
That is proactive policing. And it's good" Manasseh Azure Awuni said and causes massive stir in the country.
A lot of Ghanaians have also celebrated prophet Issac Owusu Bempah's arrest because they have been saying that he is hiding behind Politicians and keep threatening them.
