One of the disabled people that work at toll booths across the country says that they were not consulted whenever the decision to eliminate road tolls was taken.

On Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, a man (name withheld) stated that they were only informed through the phone that their services were no longer a requirement because toll charges had already been discontinued.

The toll booth attendants are shocked by the decision, he told host Kwabena Agyapong, because it came unexpectedly.

He questioned why they had been now no longer knowledgeable earlier than the price range presentation.

He debunked the motives related to the scrapping of the tolls.

“There becomes no consultation. We had been now no longer knowledgeable approximately the problem and we were given to recognize approximately it best after the price range were examined and the Roads and Highways Minister had issued a statement. We acquired messages telling us now no longer to return to paintings once more due to the fact the tolls have been scrapped.
