NDC Central Regional Communications Officer, Mr. Kwesi Dawood has found himself in "hot waters" this week as several charges have been levelled against the NDC executive. The NDC executive has been accused of allegedly having carnal knowledge with his biological daughter at the age of 15 (now aged 16) and also aborting the pregnancy of the victim. The suspect is said to have allegedly engaged in the act (incest) with the victim since the victim was 15 years old according to a petition submitted to the police by the victim's mother.
Mr. Kwesi Dawood was arraigned before the court yesterday, October 13, 2021 but was granted a bail of GH¢ 30,000 with two sureties. The Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) also quashed the decision of the Central Regional Executive Committee of the party to suspend Mr. Kwesi Dawood.
Mr. Dawood's dark days are not over as fresh charges was levelled against Mr. Dawood today in court. The charges include charges of assault, incest and defilement. The suspect [Mr. Dawood] pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him but has been remanded into police custody and is set to reappear before the court in about two weeks time (on October 27, 2021).
