Two Deaths Hit The British Council, Ghana.

The British Council, Ghana mourns two members of staff. The Council informed its cherished staff of this rather unfortunate occurrence:

It is with a heavy heart we write to inform you of the passing of two beloved colleagues:

Alan Rutt, Country Director

Alan was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, a highly-respected.

He was truly committed to the work of the British Council and its spirit. He was a decent human being, easy to get along with, full of life and energy. He was an explorer who warmed to people easily and loved his job as CD and the work in Africa. He was committed to his colleagues: the welfare and wellbeing of staff was his primary concern during this pandemic.

If you would like to leave a message of condolence or even a happy reflection of your time with Alan, please do so on the link below.

Salifatu Ntiamoah Osei, Resourcing and Deployment Officer East/West Cluster

She was a great colleague, committed, thoughtful and strong. She was committed, ever cheerful, and a warm and kind colleague and friend

“She was a person full of joy and full of life who always supported her colleagues in their work as well as her own. She was happy to help bring the team together by organizing for us to get together at the end of the week, to share something to eat and drink together. She was a lively, smiley colleague.”

If you would like to leave a message of condolence or even a happy reflection of your time with Sali, please do so on the link below which also have the burial arrangement.

We are shocked and deeply saddened by these losses but will hold them dear in our memories. Our thoughts are with their families.
