Police arrest suspect at large in Rev Owusu Bempah’s case

The Ghana Police Service has in a press release, notified the public of the arrest of one, Mr. Bright Berchie, 30, believed to be an aide to Rev. Owusu Bempah, who has been on the run following a confrontation with the police in a case between the man of God and the now Christianised prophetess; Patricia Asiedu, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.

In a six point press release issued and signed by Director of Public Affairs, Supt. Alexander Kwaku Obeng, titled “Reverend Owusu Bempah’s Aide wanted by Police has been arrested”, the suspect identified in a widely circulated video wielding weapon and issuing death threats to the men in uniform has been apprehended and held in police custody.

In the interim, the suspect has been charged with offences of threats of death, offensive conduct and possession of firearm without lawful authority.

Per the release, Mr. Bright Berchie will soon be arraigned before court whiles the weapon has been retrieved for ballistic examination to aid in the investigations.

Meanwhile, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, has been granted a GHc200,000 on health ground with two sureties.
