4 years ago, March 19, 2017, at about 18 people, who were high school students on a tour died mysteriously after a large tree fell on them at a popular waterfall spot in Kintampo.
This was said to be the most tragic incident to have happened in the Said year as the students together with their teacher were swimming during a storm when the freak accident happened.
22 others according to report then were injured and are sent to the hospital for treatments.
Rescue teams were said to have used chainsaws machines to cut through the fallen tree and free those trapped underneath.
The teacher involved in the accident which God being so good didn’t perish as a result of the sad incident’s current state is however heartbreaking.
Daniel Alubadek, the geography teacher at the Wenchi Senior High School who took the student for a tour to many tourist sites that very day is currently bedridden four years after the sad incident.
The incident has caused him paralyzed ever since and needed $91,571 to undergo an emergency surgery to enable him stand to his feet again.
In an exclusive interview with Angel FM, Mr Alubadek revealed how life have been soo difficult for him ever since the incident and how many have stigmatized him leaving him to attempt suicide.
His case has been so heartbreaking that, without the help of relative or anyone at all, he can’t visit the nature’s call. Wheelchair to enable him move around quite freely was however a problem for him until he was given one after her was interviewed.
It was also alleged that, he was directed to resume work despite being left to paralyzed.
