A 22-year-old iPhone fraudster arrested


The rate at which fraud is booming in Africa is untold, especially at most of our social media platforms. Most of this fraudsters use the scale of deception to convince thier potential victims into believing their lies.

Some even employ a very innovative tactical method to to outsmart their victims.


The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 22-year-old iPhone fraudster called Vicent Tawiah. 


He was apprehended at Accra Mall on Monday, May 10, 2021.

 

According to the Police the suspect's Modus operandi is to broadcast the iPhones on Instagram and other social media platforms as low as Thousand one hundred Ghana cedis (Ghs1100) to five thousand Ghana cedis (Ghs5000).


His prices are less than the marker priced so that his victims should be easily convince to his dubious trap.


When the interested ignorant victims called him for purchase of his goods, he would ask them to send money to the mobile phone account number 0551978205 registered in the name of Rhydale Addae.


The Police use one of his plenty victims to apprehend him on the spot.


According to the Police, some of the Fraudster's victims arrived at the scene and disclosed he had defrauded them of a huge amounts of money.

The Policemen informed everyone the Fraudster Vicent Tawiah had defrauded should report to Ring road Police station or call 0238894764.


Ghana Police are putting ample efforts in place to curb the menace of fraud prevalence in the country.
