Death is a journey and all human beings will one day take a bite. It is however the prayer of many that they will grow to old age before they finally take their last breath. Some deaths, especially people who die at young ages can be very painful but many call it a blessing when their relatives attain old age before they finally meet their deaths.
Red and black attire took over the community center of Nkawie Kuma in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The venue was full of loved ones, friends, and family members who were present to pay their respect to the dead. Gospel musician and wife of the popular man of God, Bishop Daniel Obinim was mourning her late father and the crowd was there to assist her.
Florence Obinim could not be controlled when she broke out in tears. Her father, Nana Yaw Siaw Manu who was the Adontenhene of Nkwawie Kuma was called to his maker at the age of ninety years. He had been able to take care of all his children and they are now grown into responsible adults. He died after a short illness and his daughter, Florence Obinim decided to offer him a befitting burial.
He was laid in state for family members and friends to file past the body and pay their last respect. After they were done, the body was carried to the Nkwawie Kuma cemetery for burial. Florence Obinim led the family members to exchange pleasantries with all the visitors who were present.
To Florence Obinim, she had lost a great pillar in her family, the man who would once in a while call and offer her advice was gone. She can no longer pick a mobile phone and call her father for advice when she is having a problem with her husband or any other person. She has again lost a playing mate, a man she shares a lot of jokes with whenever she is down. Her father, Nana Yaw Siaw Manu will never be seen again. May his soul rest well.
