Crime in the Kasoa community continues to soar with the security personnel not finding their feet in dealing with the situation.
According to the expert, in Kasoa the security personnel are overwhelmed by the spiraling situations of insecurity in the municipality.
Kasoa has seen sophisticated crimes being committed in the face of the security personnel and the situation seems to overwhelm the security.
The head of Security Warehouse Limited; a security diagnostic organization, Adams Bona gave this description of the security situation in Kasoa, one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the country speaking on Accra-based Neat FM’s morning show.
The security expert was speaking to the Ministry of Finance's directive for the security organizations to halt the recruitment of personnel until the clearance is given by the sector Minister, Ken Ofori Atta.
Mr. Bona said in Kasoa the ratio of police personnel to the citizenry is three thousand citizens to one police personnel.
This is the situation in Kasoa, that has led to many situations of insecurity in the Central Region.
He added that the major problem in Kasoa is how to ensure security and maintain safety.
This, over the years, has been difficult to achieve in dealing with the Kasoa situation, he said.
He suggested that Kasoa should be made a police region, to be able to deal with the escalating security situation in the municipality.
Crime is not only in Kasoa, Accra, Kumasi but all over the country and most recently where people operate Mobile Money in the country, he said.
