The Ghana Police has once again proved to be 'on fire' to ensure discipline and safety in the country. Most Ghanaians have heaped praises on Ghana's new Inspector General of Police for his active work in the Police service.
Most law breakers and criminals are having a second thought of their activities as the Ghana Police will surely catch and prosecute them. Social media users have called for the expansion of Ghana prison facilities so that law breakers can be put there. However, there are few prison facilities which cannot accommodate all lawbreakers and criminals. There is the need for an expansion or the construction of new ones.
Below are some comments on social media about the recent arrests in Ghana.
Some believe that, Ghanaians called for a fixing of the country by the government and the government has done that so there is no need for Ghanaians to complain about recent arrest.
Others believe that, the IGP has brought massive transformation in the Ghana Police service and everything seems to work now.
Also, some wants the expansion of the prison facilities since more criminals will soon be arrested.
There is no delay in arrest. A traffic light offender was arrested few hours of breaking traffic laws.
As at now, most of the prisons in Ghana are overcrowded. A prison which is supposed to accommodate 800 will now have to accommodate over 3000 with same facilities. There is the need for expansion in order to help the IGP work and his team arrest evil doers in the country.
