The incidents of kidnapping have been in the books of the country for many years. Once in a while, a parent or a guardian will report the missing of their Children and attribute it to kidnapping. There have been several instances where Kidnappers hold their victims and call for ransom before they are released. Some of these victims survive whilst others, unfortunately, lose their lives. The Bono East Region has been one of the places in the country known for kidnapping especially among Fulani herdsmen. The police have taken action and achieved results in that regard.
Three Nigerians are currently in huge trouble at the Bono East Region of Ghana for their involvement in hard-core kidnapping cases in the area. The three have mastered in Kidnapping and will employ all available means to exchange their victims for ransom. They have been successful throughout the years and their main modus operandi is to target the Fulani herdsmen in the areas of Kintampo, Kwame Danso, Yedji, and many other communities.
They believe that most of the Fulani herdsmen and their bosses are wealthy and that is the fertile avenue to make a lot of money for themselves. It was in one of their operations when the police collaborated with the victims and arrested them from their hideouts.
The three, who are all Nigerians have been identified as Sulley Musah whose is thirty-five years old, Osman Abubakar, who is also thirty years old, and Zackaria Abubakar who is also forty-five years. The Bono East Regional Police Crime Officer, Chief Superintend Alhaji Huseni who confirmed the incident indicated that the three have been paraded before the court and are being tried for various offenses.

Interestingly, the three kingpins behind the kidnapping cases are also Fulani’s and it is strange how they decided to travel from Nigeria to commit such crimes in Ghana. It would be recalled that some Nigerians were sentenced to death after they kidnapped and killed some four young girls in Takoradi. The operation by the Bono East Police Command must be commended but they can do more by completely raiding the place of kidnappers.
