Man, 40, in trouble for beating his wife with an electrical wire

Kofi Yeboah, 40, has been apprehended by the Kwadaso police after Frimpong Isaac, 37, made a report against him for beating a 32-year old woman. Frimpong in his report to the Kwadaso Police blamed Kofi Yeboah for going beyond his limit as a husband and leader of his home. Kofi, the husband of Achia Frimpomaa, is accused of using an electrical wire to beat his wife from Monday 1 November to Wednesday 3 November. 


On Monday, November 1, Kofi slapped his wife with a black 5mm wire on the face and threatened to bury her in their single room self contained if she dared go out on that day. Achia, the victim stayed indoors from Monday morning she was beaten till the morning evening when she couldn't take the pains of the beatings, and went to the nearest over the counter drug store for pain killers. Kofi Yeboah increased the beatings on Tuesday 2 November when he learnt his wife had gone out to buy painkillers on Monday evening.


You want to tell everyone I have beaten you, Kofi stated to Achia before venting his anger on her through another beating. The electrician Kofi Yeboah could not get any weapon to use on his wife except the wires he uses for his electrical works. Achia unbearable of the pains, phoned his brother Frimpong on Thursday morning and together with a carpenter, Frimpong broke the doors of Kofi Yeboah's single room self-contained.


In an act to prevent Achia from going out again, Kofi Yeboah had locked Achia in the room and taken the keys away to work, Frimpong Isaac said in his report to the police on why he had to break the doors opened with the help of a carpenter. Achia with infected wounds on her face, was taken to the Kwadaso Seventh Day Adventists Hospital on Thursday morning after she was rescued from her matrimonial home by her brother, Frimpong Isaac.


Kofi Yeboah took to his heels after police went after him at his workplace on Thursday afternoon and went into hiding until this morning when his own sisters reported him to the police about his possible hideout. The sisters of Kofi Yeboah after learning of Achia's sufferings at the hands of their brother, lead Frimpong Isaac the brother of Achia Frompomaa to the hideout of Kofi.


In police handcuffs, Kofi Yeboah was taken away to the Kwadaso Police station for further questioning and interrogations.
