Fixthecountry Conveynor Oliver Barker-Vormawor has asserted that police officers won't like their children to be recruited into the same poor service conditions. He argued that his mother is a Police Officer so he can justify the above assertion.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Friday, 12th August 2022, he wrote;
"I will support Police Officers also becoming Article 71 office holders. But as for this idea of recruiting their children into the same poor conditions of service, di3 come again."
He remarked that, Police Officers also want their children to earn millions. Not to come and suffer like them in the terrible conditions.
"I know because my mum is a Police Officer. Never has she told me to go and pick police forms."
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare has revealed that officers who die in line of duty will have qualified relatives replace them in the Service.
According to the IGP, the initiative is to compensate the family for the loss of their kin. Oliver Barker's assertion comes as a background to this.
Some people believe that it is a good proposition from the IGP. Others have expressed on social media that is very wrong.
