Akuapem Poloo Jailed while Nam1 walks as a free man; Ghanaians react after Poloo's judgement

Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Alade Brown aka Akuapem Poloo was jailed for 90 days by the Accra Circuit Court over the publication of a nude picture with her seven-year-old son in June a year ago.

She was charged for publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity and engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.

The actress pleaded not guilty to the charges at the court presided over by Christiana Cann and she was subsequently granted bail in the sum of GH₵100,000 with four sureties, two to be justified.

On Wednesday April 14, 2021 Poloo reappeared in court and was remanded to the Police Custody till Friday April 16 where she was asked to go with a pregnancy test results.

She was sentenced to three months jail sentence after the final verdict.

However, many Ghanaians have raised their voices social media handles comparing her case to Nana Mensah aka Nam 1 whom they believe has used many dubious means to steal people monies.

Nam 1 on the other hand has reacted by asking those who are comparing his case to Akuapem Poloo to stop.

"Stop Misleading the public. Even on a foreign land i was acquitted and discharged, a decision that was affirmed by the Appeals Court and the Supreme Court. FYI: my granny wasn’t the presiding judge. Back home, I pleaded NOT GUILTY and I’m having my day in Court." Nam1's reaction on twitter
