Shatta Arrested; IGP Dampare Has Proven to Shatta Wale that Ghana law is a Respecter of No Man.

Last night, news broke out on social media that legendary Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has been shot and receiving treatment at an unknown hospital in Accra. The brokers of the news indicated that he was shot in East Legon and the gunmen are on the run.

Indeed, this disturbing news shocked the entire world and threw many in shock and a state of confusion. I mean, could this be a fulfilment of a prophecy declared by a certain man of God? Well, this morning, the news was known to be false and many have registered their displeasure in the action of the Dancehall artist.

Spreading fake news is a crime under our laws and therefore the police must act on this- Johnnie Hughes fumed on his morning show. I mean what is celebratory about this move? Just for clouts? Johnnie asked in anger on TV3’s Newday. Another civil society organization called ASEPA also charged the Ghana police to arrest Shatta Wale for causing fear and panic, an action that is guilty under 1960, Act 29 Criminal Codes (Act 208).

Well, the IGP, together with his men have finally arrested Shatta Wale and promises to keep the public updated on the subsequent matters afterwards. Indeed, this IGP has proven that he’s a respecter of no man. Again, the laws of Ghana is paramount and no one can massage them in his/her favour.

Kudos Ghana Police. Kudos IGP George Dampare.
