The Upper West Regional Police Command headed by ACP Peter Ndekugri has taken swift actions by exchanging gunshots with some robbers who have as a result sustained wounds at Vieri. The Robbers are currently on the run after taking away huge sums of monies from Traders within the Area.
The Police have however released a note calling for the Residents of the area to assist in apprehending the robbers who used two apsonic motorbikes to the scene.
They left behind 39 AK47 ammunitions, a single barrel short gun and some number of bullets with two smart phones, some clothes and Sacks.
The Regional police and the Wa West Police are announcing to the general public to report to the nearest police office if you see any body with gun or bullet wounds .
The police exchanged gun shots with Armed robbers between Varempere and Vieri road. Some of the robbers run away with bullet wounds from the police. All Assembly members, Unit committees,chiefs all opinion leaders and health workers should reports to nearest police station. Commander stated that he will give an amount of 5,000 Ghana cedis to any one who can help them get these bad people.
Some Assembly Men have also been notified of the development and to assist in tracking down the suspects believed to be seeking treatment within the region or nearby region.
All medical facilities and herbal facilities have also been notifies of the issue.
