Police Lock Up Fantasy Dome After Christ Embassy Event Allegedly Flout COVID-19 Protocols.
The Ghana Police Service have locked up the Fantasy Dome at the Ghana Trade Fair Centre in Accra following the failure to observe COVID-19 protocols in a meeting that took place at the venue on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
According to reports, the youths of the Christ Embassy Church held mammoth event at the venue on Friday, April 30, 2021 where COVID-19 protocols were not respected.
When trending videos of this program were seen going viral on social media and other popular television stations, the Ghana Police Service came to notice it.
The Ghana Police Service noticed in the video that, the program which was dubbed Pneumatic Night was attended by a lot of crowd who were not wearing nose mask.
A lot of people were seen in the video dancing, screaming and chanting without observing social distance and above all, the leaders who are the pastors and preachers were also not observing the COVID-19 protocols.
The organizers also did not give any notice to the Ghana Police Service that they are coming to hold such a program which will contain such huge crowd.
The Ghana Police Service has condemned the the action, say "it puts the entire country at risk of spreading COVID-19 " .
Therefore the Police early this morning on Sunday, May 2, 2021 have gone to lock up the Fantasy Dome at the Ghana Trade Fair Centre in Accra where the program was held.
The Ghana Police Service has also announced that anyone found guilty will be arrested and brought to book.
