We Need Your Support To Prevent Fire Incidents - Bono Fire Service Commander Appeals.

The Bono Regional Commander of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), ACFO Olivia Ayem, has appealed for the cooperation of the public to prevent both domestic and bush fire incidents in the country.

She made this appeal in an interview with Appiah Kubi on Tain FM Anopa Nkommo show, when an impressive ceremony of International Firefighters' day in Sunyani.

ACFO Ayem said the Bono Region with farming as a predominant occupation needed all hands on deck to protect farms and other properties from the menace of bush fires and other fire outbreaks so that investments of farmers and other property owners would not be in vain.

She added that the vision and the significance of the memorial service of the fore firefighters will resurrect anytime to educate the public to accord in maximum support by working in unity to attain greater success in saving lives and properties.

The ACFO commended the fore firefighter’s staffs for their dedication and sacrifices which helped greatly to reduce incidents of fire outbreaks.

She appealed that poor accessibility and late calls delay fire controls, therefore urging the citizenry to make good use of accessible directions and early calls to help control fire outbreaks.
