I Admire And Like What You Are Doing, But That Rawlings Approach Is Archaic - Johnny Hughes

The Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey has vouched to tackle the sanitation situation in Accra head-on. He has received applauds for his efforts with the hopes that it continues.

A journalist and a host of the TV3 morning program (New Day), Johnny Hughes has applauded Henry Quartey for his effort to make Accra clean again but suggested that he uses new approaches instead.

Johnny Hughes made this statement on the 'New Day' on TV3 when acknowledged the efforts of the Accra Regional Minister to making the city clean again.

According to him, we want to see actions and not a nine-day wonder where we see people jumping into gutters and digging as seen in the past.

"Mr. Regional Minister, I admire your desire and zeal to make the city clean, but that old franchise belongs to Jerry Rawlings. It is dead and gone.

Let's now devise our new approach to dealing with filth. We can do it if we put our hearts to it." - He said

He added that it is not about throwing money at the rubbish because that's what we've been doing most of the time.
