The broadcaster was reportedly attacked by a gang on August 6, 2022, at Old Ashongman Village in Accra.
In a viral video, Kofi Adoma is seen in a wheelchair with numerous cuts over his body.
The police indicated that their investigations began immediately when their attention was drawn.
A statement from the police said “The Police are investigating alleged attacks by some unknown persons on Stephen Kofi Adomah, a staff of Angel Broadcasting Network on August 6, 2022, at Old Ashongman Village in Accra.
“Investigation into the alleged incident commenced immediately the matter came to the attention of the Police.”
It is yet to be established if the attack is in line with his work as a journalist or not.
