The Ghana Water company has issued a statement to the general public which needs immediate attention and action from householders and institutions who are their customers.
From the issued statement, the institution is embarking on a nationwide revenue mobilization exercise. In other words, the Ghana Water Company is sending out its officers to various homes and businesses across the country to check for all forms of arrears owed them and take immediate action. The action mainly involves disconnecting all customers who have arrears to settle.
The statement furthered that people who are found to have done illegal connections and re-connection will also be dealt with.
For those whose lines would be disconnected, they would have to pay the full areas plus reconnection fee before they will have the water lines rightly restored.
If it happens that a household or residence has fully paid their bill in it entirety, it is recommended that they keep their receipt very close so that the officers can verify.
Please be informed and share it with all who may need this important information.
