Social media debate erupted with diverse reactions after Ghone Television posted the award package for the overall Best Farmer for the Accra Municipal Assembly. Sensing and feeling the reactions, one could tell that many people are sad for the ordinary Ghanaian Farmer.
When the awardee was invited by Municipal Chief Executive, a bicycle , knapsack Sprayer and a certificate was handed over to him. This turn of event is contrary to the usual Tractor, car or harvesters present which could have benefited the Farmer.
The Ghana National Father's Day celebration is tailored to award the most hardworking and productive Farmer in the whole year.
