Student stabs woman to death over polythene bag

Indeed, even before the residue chooses the tragic slaughtering of an 11-year-old kid at Kasoa in the Central Region, another grim homicide has been submitted by a 20-year-old student of Tepa Senior High School.

Ebenezer Opoku is presently in the grasps of the Asutifi North District Police Command for stabbing a woman who happens to be a shopkeeper in the community to death. 

The District Police Commander, DSP Paul Ankan who affirmed the occurrence said it happened when the perished, 23-year-old Ebenezer, went to a close shop to purchase sachet water. 

He portrayed that after purchasing the water, he asked the women to kindly place them in a polythene pack in light of the amount however the shop owner(the woman) refused.

Ebenezer then demonstrated that, he would return the water should in case any fall on his way home. The issue therefore brought about a trade of words and anger.

The woman left the scene and head towards home while mumbling, Ebenezer followed her to her home and cut her in her back while she was disclosing to her sibling what had unfolded, police say. 

Detecting threat, Ebenezer endeavored to get away, however, inhabitants captured and gave him over to the Kenyasi Police. 

The woman passed on because of a deep cut at her back. Her body has been kept at the Saint Elizabeth Hospital Morgue.
