In view of this, a video reported by a media regional reporter reveals the current state of some residents in "Kwahu Ampeyo" at Nkawkaw.
In the video, the Eastern regional reporter explained the main details of the causes and effects of the conflict that occured among two neighbouring towns in the region, that is; "Pankese" and "Ampeyo".
According to the reporter, the recent conflict was caused by a previous conflict which occured among these two neighbouring towns. In view of this, the previous conflict was as a result of a citizen of "Pankese", coming to "Ampeyo" to steal a mobile phone and unfortunately was caught and beaten mercilessly by the youth of "Ampeyo". However, this momentous incident was recorded by a citizen and in view of this, it was published online and went viral. This made the youth of "Pankese" to see the main culprits of the incident and decide to meet such people for a revenge.
In view of this, on Friday, 3rd September, 2021 around 11pm(dawn) there was a "wake-keeping" in the town (Ampeyo), and unfortunately their allies invaded them and wounded some of their citizens. As such, it was recorded that four people were wounded with a cutlass and are now being admitted at the Holy Trinity Hospital in Nkawkaw for immediate treatment.
