This article is about two remanded persons that have escaped from police cells in central region.This happened at Assin-Praso, a town in the Assin-North district.The name of these two individuals are; Emmanuel Tawia and Mawuli Ayetey.They escaped by cutting the iron rod of the police station's cells with a hack saw.This News was confirmed by Angel FM during their Evening news.Their central regional correspondent accounted how this happened.
Their correspondent accounted that,the people of Assin-Praso were alerted and informed with these remanded individual's escape.He decided to go there and see if it's true, and truly it was confirmed.
The remanded individual's allegedly escaped by cutting the police bars or iron rod with a hack saw that made them escape.Emmanuel Tawia who is one of the escapees is said to have stolen a flat screen TV. His counterpart Mawuli Ayetey is also accused of killing his own brother.Mawuli Ayetey was remanded and sent to court in Obuasi for 2years but felt sick and was brought back to Assin-Praso where his offense happened.He was to be sent to court on Friday to know whether he will be convicted in prison or not.
The commander of the police station was allegedly said to be asleep and didn't know what happened.He has then being given up to 10 days to provide all the remanded individual's who escaped back.
