Natural disaster



Many people have been rendered homeless properties destroyed after torrential rainfall in U/W.

The Rains Started Early hears of the Day and Continued for about 5 hours.

Lightening Accompanied by Thunder Struck a Shea Tree which fell on a building and injured a Woman. The victim sustained injuries on the face but survived the natural disaster.

Some other rooms within the same stracture was destroyed and as a result inhabitants were left stranded. Several others have had their homes flooded.

The waterlock area has for sometime been prone to flood due to the steep sloppy nature of some parts of the area.

Some structures affected Include fuel stations, Drinking Spots and shops and houses close to the Upper West Regional Hospital.

Some Residents have begun relocation from the area to close relatives for shelter. Residents have called on the Upper West Regional Division of National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) headed tovy Mr. Ahmed Mustapha to Come to their aid. No one is reported dead.
