European Hospital in Takoradi adds more salt to the injury - Josephine Panyin in another trouble?

The reports earlier by the Ghana Police Service has brought division on social media as it stated that Josephine wasn't pregnant according to the doctors that examined her medically. It looks like there are inconsistencies in the story of Josephine and the family. There are several twists and turns about Josephine's appearance after she was kidnapped. When the news came that Josephine has been found and her nine months pregnancy has been tampered with by her kidnappers, the Western Regional Minister came and refute those claims and told the public that she was never pregnant.

After several reportage, the Public Affairs Unit of the Ghana Police Service under the auspices of ASP Kwesi Ofori has released a press statement. According to the statement, the police is heavily relying on the medical experts who have examined her and the fact is that Josephine Panyin was never pregnant within the period under review following thorough medical examination by the medical officers of the Axim Government Hospital. To add more salt to the injury, she told the police she used to visit the European hospital for antenatal care but after the hospital was contacted, it was revealed that her last visit to the hospital was last year October and she wasn't pregnant.

That alone is part of the reasons why she is not a victim again but now a suspect who lied about her disappearance. The police also revealed that over some years now in Takoradi, there has been several false kidnapping cases where people conspire to create "self-kidnapping" incidents to make money out of ransoms. The police has however put some strategies together to quell this emerging crime in the Western Region. This new revelation will go a long way to put Madam Josephine Panyin Mensah in a tight corner which will rather cause more problems for her if it is true she lied about everything. Investigations are still underway and the police have assured her safety anyway.
