





The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has issued a statement informing the public of 64 Boko Haram escapees likely hiding in Ghana.
The said 64 were amongst the 879 inmates that escaped from a prison near Abuja.
The Jailbreak, which isn’t the first of its kind was led by the Islamic Extremist Rebels.
Other sources also link The Boko Haram for the provision of high-end ammunition which were used for the attack at the Kuje Maximum Security Prison near Abuja.
A spokesman of the Nigerian Correctional Service informed that, 443 of the 879 escapees were still on the run while hundreds of others have either been recaptured or turned themselves in.
He said “Officials will track all fleeing inmates and return them to safe custody”.
Due to that, Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) in a statement, urged the public to be on alert and report to the security agencies incase they identify any of the strangers around in town or across the country as pictures and names of the said 64 have been released for public awareness.
