The Ghana Police service has released an official statement on the murder of a farmer who met his untimely death on his way to the farm.
According to the Police, the Murder incident occurred at Nkonya. The Police have commenced an immediate investigation into a murder incident on August 1, 2022, at Nkonya Ntsumuru in the Oti Region.
According to the police, their initial investigation disclosed that the disease identified as Daniel Brempong was allegedly ambushed and shot by unknown assailants on his way to the farm.
The body of the disease has been deposited at the Kpando Margaret Marquart Catholic hospital for preservation and autopsy.
Following the incidents, police have beefed up patrols within the Nkonya Township and nearby communities to maintain Law and Order.
The service also wants residents in the Township and nearby Communities to remain calm as those behind the crime she is brought to book.
